The Purpose of My Life

I am a 48-year-old male who works in the field of environmental protection and fire service. I received Christ as my life at the age of 20. While in route to San Jose to finish college in 1972, I asked God to lead me to real Christian fellowship. Shortly thereafter, as I was in a line of hundreds of people to register for classes at San Jose State, I watched a group of Christians singing songs about the Lord Jesus and boldly shouting, ďJesus is Lord!Ē I was attracted and introduced myself to these brothers in Christ. They invited me to a gospel dinner with the church in San Jose.

Since that time, I have been greatly blessed to see and experience many riches of the life of Christ, and to participate practically in the building up of the Body of Christ. What keeps me in fellowship with the local churches is the resounding AMEN within my spirit to ALL the truths revealed through the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. From Genesis to Revelation, there is such constancy of view as to Godís desire to impart His life into the hearts of human beings for the purpose of expressing Godís life and nature, and to ultimately defeat His enemy by gaining a group of overcomers as His Bride and Warrior which results in becoming that holy city, New Jerusalem. (Rev. 19:2-9,11,14; 21:2)

I have participated in building up the Body of Christ in three different local churches since 1972 while continuing to attend very rich semi-annual Bible-based conferences that cover Old and New Testament books. In addition, there are periodic conferences where brothers and sisters from many local churches gather together and all have an opportunity to learn the truth in Godís Word through hearing, reading, prayer and fellowship. Such gatherings carried out in the principle of mutuality based on 1 Corinthians 14:26.

I have three sons and am thankful that all of them have believed in the Lord Jesus, been baptized and continue to this day to have a heart that is soft and open to their Savior.
